POST/v2/monitoring/sinks/destinations/{destination_uuid}

Update a logging destination

Updates the configuration of an existing logging destination. Identify it with destination_uuid and supply the required type and config fields, including the cluster endpoint; credentials are optional if you provide a managed cluster's cluster_uuid. A 204 response confirms the update and has no response body.

  • IdempotentThe SDK sends Idempotency-Key, so a retried request is only applied once.

Error handling

A 401 is returned when authentication credentials are invalid. A 404 is returned when the destination or a referenced resource is not found, and a 429 is returned when the API rate limit is exceeded. A 500 indicates a server error; the destination_uuid path parameter must identify the destination, type must be opensearch_dbaas or opensearch_ext, and config must include endpoint.
