/v2/agents/triggers/{trigger_id}Update a trigger
Updates a trigger's mutable settings, including its name, status, prompt template, output configuration, session configuration, and schedule. Supply only the fields you want to change; kind and webhook.provider cannot be changed, and updating session_template replaces the stored template. Re-enabling a trigger does not produce a catch-up run, and schedule changes recompute next_run_at.
- IdempotentThe SDK sends
Idempotency-Key, so a retried request is only applied once.
Partial trigger update; only supplied fields change. kind and webhook.provider are immutable.
A 400 is returned when validation fails, including when a replacement session_template omits a declared secret slot value. A 401 indicates invalid credentials; a 403 indicates the caller is not permitted to create the backing agent config; a 404 indicates the trigger was not found; and a 409 indicates a duplicate name or an attempt to change an immutable field. A 422 indicates the team's trigger limit has been reached, a 429 indicates the API rate limit was exceeded, a 500 indicates a server error, a 502 indicates an unexpected error from the backing agent config service, and a 503 indicates a temporarily unavailable dependency; retry the request for a 503. name must be 1–64 characters and match the specified trigger-name pattern, status must be active or paused, and output.mode must be none, email, or slack; provide output.email only for email mode and output.slack.webhook_url for Slack mode. The trigger_id path parameter must identify an existing trigger.
